This 3D Digital Tour of the Walther P99 QA was created using Solid Works. This page consists of still images and animated rotations of every part in the Slide Assembly.

1. Front Sight- 4 Interchangeable front sights are included for adjusting elevation. These lock in securely with a Retaining Screw. The material is polymer. This part in particular is vulnerable to being misshapen if the weapon is dropped or receives an impact from a hard object.
2. Front Sight Retaining Screw- Locks front sight in place. Use 1.25mm Allen Key.

3. Slide- Foundation for all parts of the Slide Assembly; weight: 309 grams, sharp edged ribs along the back of the slide make an excellent grip for cocking the weapon. Finish wears very well.
4. Decocker Assembly- Compress to render the weapon safe to carry while a round is in the chamber. In order to re-cock the weapon the slide must be advanced ΒΌ inch. One handed operation of this safety feature is not possible while maintaining a proper grip on the weapon.

5. Extractor- Ejects spent rounds from the chamber, is shifted inward when a round is in the chamber, exposing a red indicator. This function allows the shooter to confirm, in both light and dark circumstances, that the weapon is loaded .
6. Extractor Pin Assembly- Locks extractor in place.

7. Extractor Spring- Maintains extractor tension.
8. Rear Sight- Adjustable for windage, material is polymer, vulnerable to being misshapen if the weapon is dropped or receives an impact from a hard object.

9. Sight Adjustment Screw- Turns to adjust for windage with rear sight, square screw head allows Sight Detent Assembly to lock in adjustment.
10. Sight Detent Assembly- Locks rear sight and sight adjustment in place.

18. Striker Safety Assembly- Prevents striker from impacting primer when weapon is decocked.
19. Barrel- Breach and Barrel contain pressure when ammunition is exploded and direct projectile out of the weapon; hard chromed to reduce barrel wear, rifled to put a spin on projectile in order to increase range. Connects with the claw on Striker to cock the weapon.

20. Striker Assembly Retaining Plate- Locks the Striker Assembly in place.
21. Recoil Spring and Guide Assembly- Provides tension for the cycle of the weapon.
